Our Wedding

Hannah and Shaydon met through Hannah's brother, Nick, who works at Amazon with Shaydon. Shaydon threw a Halloween party in October of 2022, where Hannah and Shaydon met for the first time. There were immediate sparks. Hannah was still in school, so she had to move back to Spokane, not seeing Shaydon for another 8 months. Shaydon had asked Nick to live together in May of 2023, and Hannah and Shaydon quickly grew closer, as Hannah liked to hang out with Shaydon's new kittens and help decorate Nick and Shaydon's new place. Shaydon asked Hannah out to a movie in August of 2023, where on the drive, he confessed that he had feelings for Hannah, and Hannah reciprocated having those feelings. After the movie, Hannah and Shaydon spent almost every single weekend together and eventually moved in together in February of 2025. The proposal happened at the lighthouse at Discovery Park in Seattle on their 2 year anniversary, a common place for their picnic dates.

What's For Dinner?

For our wedding dinner, we’ll be serving wood-fired pizzas from Fat Zach’s Pizza, with gluten‑free and vegetarian options available. Appetizers will include caprese and caesar salads, plus a charcuterie table.There will also be an open bar with a mix of different beers, ciders and wines.Please drink responsibly.

Food

We suggest button-down shirts with khaki pants or sundresses.Sandals, flats, or comfortable heels are welcome.Jackets and ties are optional.Please note that this is an outdoor ceremony with grass and gravel, so wedges may be more comfortable if you are looking to wear heels.The reception is inside of the barn, which has some cement and some uneven wooden surfaces.The weather in Late August for Redmond, Washington is typically mild, dry, and sunny, with average daily highs in the mid-70s°F and crisp overnight lows around 55°F to 57°F.The wedding party will be wearing lavender / periwinkle.The overall wedding colors are "summer wildflowers" including light pinks, oranges, greens, and blues.Please do not wear white.

Redmond Inn

As an initial offering, we booked a group rate at this hotel. If you prefer this hotel over the Redmond Inn, feel free to book here. This hotel is roughly $28 more per night, and an additional $16 for parking. The only room configuration offered under this booking is single King (Redmond Inn offers a 2 Queen option at the group rate). If you're looking for a day in Seattle, here are some fun example for itineraries. You could spend the day sightseeing and museum hopping, or you could have a day of viewing the nature and beautiful views that are within the city.

Redmond / Kirkland Days

If you're looking to stay on the "Eastside" (Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue), then this itinerary is for you! Spend the day in Redmond near the hotel. Stop at the Saturday market inside the Town center, walk through the beautiful parks nearby, and then play some mini golf!Or, spend the day in Kirkland at the waterfront! Hannah was born and raised in Kirkland and spent a lot of summers at Houghton Beach. Shaydon and Hannah love to have picnics at the various beaches around Lake Washington.
